Privacy Policy

PoolGazal operates poolgazal.com, a service that helps shoppers across Africa and the Middle East compare listings from local online marketplaces. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at developers@apertacodex.ai.

• Account details, only if you create an account: your name, email address, and a password we store as a salted scrypt hash. We never store your password itself.
• Profile and saved items: any delivery details you choose to add, and the listings you save to your watchlist.
• Usage data: which listings are viewed and which outbound links to seller sites are clicked. We record these as daily totals per store and listing, not as a profile of you.
• Technical data: standard server logs, including IP address and browser type, kept for security and abuse prevention.

We use this information to run the site: to keep you signed in, to show your saved listings, to understand which stores and products are useful so we can improve the catalog, and to keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information.

• Essential cookies: a single session cookie (pg_session) that keeps you signed in. It is set only after you log in, and removing it simply signs you out.
• Advertising and analytics cookies: set only if you consent via our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time from the banner.

PoolGazal is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

• Google's use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to PoolGazal and other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices.

Where required, we ask for your consent before any advertising or analytics cookie is set, and we pass that choice to Google using its consent signals.

When you follow a listing to the store that sells it, you leave PoolGazal and that store's own privacy policy applies. We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, how those sites handle your data. See our advertising and affiliate disclosure for how those links work.

Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Session records expire after 30 days. Aggregated click totals contain no personal identifiers and may be kept indefinitely.

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to withdraw consent, by emailing developers@apertacodex.ai. We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

PoolGazal is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on the site.
